For those of you who want to experience the latest CM10.1 ROM with Android 4.2.1 for your Epic 4G Touch, here’s your chance to turn your phone into a Nexus 4.

Built for pure Android fans, the CM10.1 ROM is a ported version by XDA user Dastin1015. Overall, this is a very satisfactory port of CM10.1 for Epic 4G Touch, if not near perfect.

Only minor issue I found was that there’s no 4G icon when 4G WiMax is turned on but not a huge issue as it does not interfere with actual 4G signals.

Other than that, everything works just fine on this ROM.

For those of you who have been waiting for Jelly Bean on your Epic 4G Touch, there is a working build of CM10 Jelly Bean ROM. Now, everything is working on this CM10 Jelly Bean ROM but there’s a major bug where the airplane mode randomly turns on.

I’ve been in search of a good stable ICS ROM (FF18 based) for my rooted Epic 4G Touch with great battery life and I think I might have finally found one.

The Universe ICS ROM comes with TouchWiz UX, S-Voice (sorta working), and most importantly, deep sleep mode for maximizing battery life while your phone is off. One of the things that annoyed me the most about the latest ICS Epic 4G Touch update is very horrible battery life. I just got a new brand, new phone back from Sprint and every FF18 ICS ROM I’ve tried hogs battery like there’s no tomorrow.
